My mother used Fish Freaks for years before I ever went. The staff here is always helpful. Highly recommended to go here for all your aquatic needs.

I went to another big, popular store in Omaha to check it out, and it honestly doesn't come close to Fish Freaks. The tanks in this other store just looked pretty neglected; tons of mulm, algae, dead shrimp/fish. Fish Freaks is obviously on top of their tank maintenance and animal health. Beautiful display tanks as well as healthy looking tanks for their livestock. Would definitely recommend for your fish stuff!

Awesome store! Huge inventory and very helpful, knowledgeable staff. The tanks are spotless—even with our hard Midwest water. Prices are a bit higher, but the quality and care make it worth it.

We decided it was time to finally go after a fish tank that I've always wanted. I spent weeks online trying to figure out which way I was going to go to get one and set it up. Then last Saturday I said oh well let's go to Omaha there's some fish stores down there. Called fish Freaks and they said they had multiple tanks and oh boy do they have multiple tanks basic tanks set up tanks takes with stands tanks for salts with hang on the back filters it was amazing. Don't even get me started on the plethora of fish it was like going to the zoo. From the minute we walked in the door to the minute we left everybody was very helpful and readily available to ask questions to. After about an hour of looking we ended up snagging Kaedin and he led me in the direction I wanted to go with all my fishy needs he was packed full of knowledge and I wish I had a tape recorder to record it all but I left the store feeling very confident with my purchase ended up getting a fluval sienna 72 gallon and the thing is a beautiful tank. Can't wait to head back on down to get some fishies.

I was very impressed! Getting back into the saltwater scene, I was asking around to see what stores were where and was recommended against Fish Freaks due to lack of customer interest/care and those recommendations were COMPLETELY WRONG!!! I will be going back as a regular customer from this point on - they had a large selection of fresh and saltwater fish, corals, plants, aquariums and supplies, as well as a very friendly, knowledgeable, and nerdy staff! Also, they have a loyalty program and as any aquarist knows, you WILL be coming back.

At first I wanted to give a bad review but I thought about it more. Its a cool place with a lot of stuff. If you need it they got it. Lots of fish fresh and saltwater. But for me I left very unimpressed. To be far I am primarily looking for very large carnivorous fish. They simply didnt have much or any. So I am not going to let my very niche thing effect them. For the average fish keeper its a great store. Just not for me.

Went in for the first time. To start the customer service is top notch. They are very knowledgeable about ALL of there fish. The store was the cleanest and most organized fish store we have been in. We will be going here for all of our future fish.

Walked into this store expecting 2 things…fish and freaks… let’s say it did not disappoint. This was the most amazing experience my friends and i have had hands down! The fish were obviously well taken care of and all of the employees were knowledgeable and helpful. Eel was a bit mean, sucker fish a bit sus. Not to mention the fish were all friendly and would come up to the glass to see you, there was a very wide array of fish from all over the globe.

Knowledgeable staff that actually cares about your needs. They quarantine the sick fish and label them not for sale. That tells me they would rather sell you healthy fish and are not just pushing fish to make more money. Their selection is amazing and if they don't have it, they'll likely get it for you. They always have a minute to get to know you and what you're looking to make happen in your little aquascape. I will continue to give them all of my fish budget because it's well deserved (even with other "big chain" stores closer to my house).

The best place for fish and any thing fish related. We've never had a fish die from here, other then from old age, so their stock is healthy. Are they expensive? Yes. But it's worth it. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. You can also buy plants here.
